Hurricane Season

There are no tags

images June 1st marks the beginning of hurricane season, and this means that you should  start planning for emergencies. When making your emergency plan, don’t forget to  include your pets too. When a hurricane or severe storm hits the bay area, flash  flooding and power outages can happen so quickly, it can be difficult to remain calm  and organized. In moments of sudden panic, it is not uncommon to forget some key  items, and in some situations, the family pet is mistakenly left stranded. In the Tampa Bay area, we have been very lucky to not have any hurricanes hit us directly. However, with that being said, we are often subjected to heavy rains, lightning, floods, and power outages. The best way to prevent any additional damage to your property or to your family is to be prepared. There are a lot of resources available to you that help with emergency planning, and this includes a very thorough emergency preparedness plan created by the American Red Cross.
