Of course a nap is in order!  I need energy to deliver all those colored eggs!

Faith is a 2 year old female dog that was abandoned along with her ten newborn puppies at a small Rescue in Sosua, Dominican Republic in December.  Her puppies have all been adopted in the DR, but unfortunately “Faith” was left behind.  Dr. Harper found out about “Faith” while leading a spay/neuter project to the DR the last week of February and decided to bring her to the U.S. to find her a forever home.  Last Friday night Dr. Harper picked up “Faith” from Tampa International Airport and she is settling in well.  She is fully vaccinated, dewormed, spayed and seems to be house trained. She is very sweet and lovable and is great with other dogs. Contact the clinic if you have a spot in your home for a very deserving dog?

Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic is going through the certification process to become Tampa’s first “Cat Friendly Practice”!   This certification is a new program developed by the American Association of Feline Practitioners to help practitioners meet the wide range of unique needs of cats in a veterinary practice setting.  A Cat Friendly Practice is committed to learning ways to make the vet visit more pleasant for cats by creating an environment that is less threatening and meets the cat’s unique needs.

The staff at this practice is aware of ways they can interact and handle cats so that examinations and procedures will be less stressful. A Cat Friendly Practice also values your contribution to your cat’s healthcare plan and will make every effort to help you understand your cat’s needs and help you learn what you can do at home to ensure that they get the care they need.
